Visiting Mount Zion for the First Time

Trying a church for the first time can be uncomfortable. We want to make it as simple and low-pressure as possible.

Here’s what you need to know.

When & Where

Sunday Service: 10 AM
Location: 111 Laurel Mill-Centerville Rd, Louisburg, NC 27549

(You don’t need to arrive early unless you want to. Most people arrive a few minutes before the service starts.)

What a Sunday Service Is Like

Length: About 60 minutes
Style: Simple, relaxed, and focused on teaching
Music: Congregational singing — you’re welcome to sing or just listen

There is no pressure to stand, speak, give money, or participate in any way that makes you uncomfortable.

What Should I Wear?

Whatever you normally wear.

You’ll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to more traditional church clothes. There is no dress code.

What About Kids?

Children are welcome in the main service.

We also offer age-appropriate children’s classes during the service. Our approach prioritizes care, safety, and simplicity.

If you’d prefer to keep your children with you, that’s completely fine.

What If I’m Not Sure What I Believe?

You are welcome here.

You don’t have to agree with everything we teach to attend. You don’t have to pretend to believe something you don’t. You don’t have to have your questions resolved.

We believe faith grows best in environments where honesty is allowed.

What Happens After the Service?

After the service, many people stick around for Community Groups to talk, ask questions, or just get to know one another.

You’re free to:

  • Leave immediately
  • Introduce yourself
  • Ask questions
  • Sit quietly

There is no expectation either way.
